The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) held a consultative meeting with a delegation from Bukura Agricultural College aimed at strengthening collaboration and promoting continuous quality improvement in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
The discussions focused on the accreditation status and implementation of programmes leading to the award of Diploma in Technical Instructor Education and Technical Trainer Education in agriculture-related fields. The meeting noted that the curricula for the programmes had already been approved by the TVETA Board, while further consultations centred on aligning programme implementation with existing regulatory and quality assurance requirements.
TVETA emphasized the importance of implementing all training programmes within the approved accreditation framework to safeguard quality, protect learner interests, and uphold the integrity of qualifications within the TVET sector. The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to supporting institutions through continuous engagement, technical guidance, and compliance support to strengthen the delivery of industry-responsive training.
Bukura Agricultural College expressed its commitment to working closely with the Authority to ensure full compliance with the established standards and regulatory requirements.
The delegation was received by Paul Wanyeki, Head of Compliance, on behalf of the Ag. Director General. The Bukura team comprised Samuel Mugweru, Director of Academic Programmes, and Bilha Wanyonyi, Ag. HOD Admissions and Students Records. Also present was Alex Gikaru from TVETA Accreditation Department.
