TVETA is proud to participate in the 5th Edition of Cyberweek Africa 2026, taking place at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) from 27th–30th October 2026 under the theme: “Cyber Threat Intelligence in the Age of AI.”

The conference was officially opened by Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr. Stephen Isaboke, EBS, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, and cybersecurity experts to explore how Africa can harness emerging technologies while strengthening digital resilience.

Key reflections from the opening sessions remind us that:

🔹 Despite advances in technology, human ingenuity, critical thinking, and ethical

leadership must remain at the centre of innovation.

🔹 As the world develops the rules that govern AI, Africa must actively shape and contribute to that future.

🔹 The continent’s greatest strength lies in leveraging technology to amplify Africa’s talent, innovation, and opportunities.

As the regulator of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Kenya, TVETA remains committed to assuring quality and relevance in TVET training, fostering skills development that responds to emerging technologies and industry needs, and promoting programmes that prepare learners for the digital economy. Through strengthened digital, technical, and innovation skills, TVETA continues to support the development of a competent workforce capable of driving Kenya’s cybersecurity readiness and Africa’s digital transformation.
