Today afternoon a team from Canada led by Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) President and CEO Denise Amyot and Vice President International Alain Roy, accompanied by TVET Authority Director General/CEO Dr Kipkirui Langat paid a courtesy call on the Deputy President Dr William Ruto’s Principal Administrative Secretary Amb Daniel Wambura to brief him on the Kenya Education for Employment Program (KEFEP) program.

The meeting, which was also attended by Deputy President’s Secretary Strategy and Delivery Dr John Chikati discussed partner driven model that CICan uses and future plans for partnership.

Others in the meeting were Esther Okenyuri who works at the Strategy and Delivery department and Collins Mwita who works at Amb Wambura’s office.

CICan works with domestic and international funders to deliver projects that advance and promote the strengths of Canada’s college and institute system.

The KEFEP program provide developing countries with access to the applied education expertise of Canadian institutions. The colleges share experience and expertise in applied education and training, tailored to local communities and employers’ needs, in order to transform education systems all over the world.
