TVET Authority Ag. Director General, Mr. Timothy Nyongesa Katiambo, has called on stakeholders validating the Digital Learning Content Development Standards and Guidelines to prioritize ethical considerations in the framework.
Speaking during the ongoing workshop in Machakos, Mr. Katiambo emphasized that online learning is the future of TVET, and institutions must be guided by integrity and accountability.
“I’m pleased with the broad representation in this validation exercise. We’ve brought together key players in digital learning, and I believe the Standards and Guidelines we’re developing will unlock new opportunities for TVET institutions to embrace online training. That’s why ethical considerations must remain at the core—so our institutions do the right thing,” he said.
Mr. Katiambo also thanked the ILO Prospects for partnering with TVETA in developing the framework, reaffirming the Authority’s commitment to supporting its implementation and aligning the TVET sector with global best practices.
