Day Three of the Stakeholders’ Validation Workshop on Digital Learning Content Standards in Machakos focused on presentations from the four working groups refining key thematic areas of the draft standards.
Each group will present and participants will have time to engage in detailed discussions and offer feedback on corrections made at the plenary session.
Amos Barue of Koshin TTI presented Group 3 refined document.
Highlights included:
✅ Section 6: Technical Compatibility & Compliance – ensuring content works seamlessly across devices, browsers, and operating systems, supports assistive technologies, and aligns with interoperability standards such as SCORM and xAPI.
✅ Section 7: Learner Support & Guides – emphasizing learner-friendly guides with clear navigation, accessibility instructions, visuals, multiple formats, and in-line help tools.
✅ Section 10: Quality Assurance – outlining internal QA responsibilities for institutions and external oversight by regulators, with mechanisms for audits, documentation, and continuous improvement.
