The Board of Directors of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Paul Machocho Wanyeki as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Authority.
Dr Wanyeki brings over 15 years of experience in TVET regulation, policy development, quality assurance, institutional leadership and skills development. He has held senior leadership positions at TVETA, including Acting Director of Standards Development, Compliance and Enforcement, where he contributed to strengthening regulatory and quality assurance systems and advancing key national TVET reforms. He previously served at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and as a trainer at Kisiwa National Polytechnic.
Congratulating Dr Wanyeki on his appointment, TVETA Board Chairperson, Prof. Kellen Kiambati, expressed confidence in his leadership and ability to advance the Authority’s strategic priorities. She noted that his extensive experience and deep understanding of the TVET sector would be instrumental in strengthening the quality, relevance and credibility of Kenya’s TVET system.
The Board also recognized and commended Mr Timothy Nyongesa Katiambo for his dedicated service and leadership during his tenure as Acting Director General.
The Board congratulates Dr Wanyeki on his appointment and wishes him success as he leads TVETA’s Management and staff in fulfilling the Authority’s mandate and supporting the Government’s skills development and economic transformation agenda.
