The final day of the Stakeholders’ Validation Workshop on Digital Learning Content Standards is underway, with groups presenting their refined drafts before the plenary for validation.

This morning, Allan Maonga presented Group 5’s draft on Accessibility and Inclusivity in Digital Learning Content. The section highlights general requirements, accessibility standards, inclusivity principles, and feedback mechanisms, aligning Kenya with global benchmarks such as KS 2952-1:2022, ISO/IEC, WCAG, and ITU. The group emphasized integrating accessibility and inclusivity across the full content lifecycle — from planning to evaluation.

Later today, Group 2 will present their work on Data Protection and Security, Academic Integrity, Intellectual Property Rights, Version Control, Sustainability, and Futureproofing.
The plenary will then validate the full draft before submission to the Kenya Bureau of Standards for final refinement and packaging into a national standard.
