The ILO PROSPECTS National Programme Coordinator for the Digital Economy, Mr. Stephen Mwangi, has urged stakeholders participating in the ongoing validation of the Digital Learning Content Development Standards and Guidelines in Machakos to ensure the final framework fully embraces inclusivity.

Speaking at the close of Day 2 of the workshop, Mr. Mwangi emphasized the importance of developing standards that will guide TVET institutions in creating digital learning content that inspires confidence and access among all learners, particularly those from marginalized groups.
“I am happy with the diversity of stakeholders present, and I look forward to seeing a standard that truly embraces inclusivity—including women, persons with disabilities, marginalized communities, as well as refugees and host communities,” he noted.
The workshop, supported by the ILO PROSPECTS Programme, aims to improve employment prospects and livelihoods for refugees, asylum seekers, and host communities. The programme focuses on expanding access to quality education, skills training, and decent work opportunities, while strengthening labour market systems, promoting entrepreneurship, and fostering inclusive policies that enhance resilience in displacement-affected areas.
