Timothy Nyongesa Katiambo has Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Information Sciences from Moi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Maseno University.
Additionally, Mr. Katiambo has done several short courses including Strategic Leadership Development Programme (SLDP), Senior Management Course (SMC), Performance Management, Public Service Productivity and Board Readiness Program from Strathmore University. Other trainings undertaken include Focal Point Persons’ Training on National Cohesion and Values from DNCV, Measuring Skills Mismatches from ITCILO and QMS (Internal Audit, Documentation, and Transition Courses) from KEBS.
Mr. Katiambo has 25 years in the TVET. He was as a Project Coordinator of NICHE project on Strengthening the capacities of TVETA for enhancing the performance of the TVET system in Kenya. He is currently a Performance Contract Coordinator for TVETA and a Focal Point Person on National Cohesion and Values. Mr. Nyongesa serves in various committees including Ministry of Education (MOE) Performance Contract Monitoring Team, MOE MTP III Secretariat, Education Sector Working Group and MOE Monitoring and Evaluation Committee. Prior to his appointment, he was Deputy Director, Strategy and Planning at TVET Authority for three years.
