The Director General TVET Authority Dr. Kipkirui Langat, today hosted a team from the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK), led by the Registrar/CEO Eng. Margaret Ogai who paid him a courtesy call.

EBK is a statutory body responsible for the registration of engineers and engineering consulting firms, regulation of engineering professional services, setting of standards and development and the general practice of engineering.

The meeting discussed areas of possible collaboration between the two regulatory bodies. These included accreditation policies and guidelines, capacity-building programs, and regulatory approaches.

The two CEOs agreed to establish a technical working group with other relevant stakeholders to start a formal engagement on the possible areas of collaboration.

The Registrar/CEO was accompanied by Director of Capacity Building and Accreditation Eng. Grace Onyango, Director Compliance and Enforcement Eng. Okere A. Makokha, Director Legal Services Fridah Ngalu, and Stella Gati the Manager public relations services. The TVETA team included Deputy Director of Compliance and Enforcement Dr. Paul Wanyeki, Assistant Director ICT Dr. John Masika, and Samwel Kipkemoi the Deputy Director of Strategy and Planning.
