The Director-General TVET Authority Dr Kipkirui Langat today graced the 4th graduation ceremony of Ramogi Institute of Advanced Technology (RIAT) in Kisumu County.

The event was held virtually for the graduands and the parents in accordance with Covid- 19 containment protocols.

The Director-General applauded the Board and Management for embracing technology to organize a successful event during such difficult times. He congratulated the trainers for the great work they put in in their training that culminated in the graduation ceremony.

He congratulated the graduands for successfully going through their skills training in the institute and encouraged them to go out and put to use the acquired skills for purposes of nation-building. He advised them to pursue further training in their career areas since the TVET pathway currently offers great opportunities for career progression.

During the event, a total of 1340 graduands were awarded, Higher National Diplomas, Diplomas, Craft and Artisan certificates.

The Chief Guest during the ceremony was Dr Margaret Mwakima, the Principal Secretary State Department of Vocational and Technical Training. She was represented by Mr Bernard Isalambo, the Chief Technical Officer Ministry of Education.

Present during the occasion were area, MP Hon. John Olago Aluoch MP Kisumu Town West Constituency, the Chairperson of the Board of Governors Dr Lily Kisaka, Mr Phanuel Onyango, the County Director TVET and the Principal of the Institute Mrs Marem Omondi among other guests.
